Berlin

Berlin is the capital of Germany, its political and historical center. Divided by the Berlin Wall for nearly 30 years after WWII, the city is still reshaping the Soviet heritage. The gap between Western and Eastern Berlin is still visible today not only in the architectural landscape but also in social, economical, and mental aspects. Berlin, like no other capital in Europe, leaves you with the feeling of a fast developing, modern city. Nowadays, the capital of Germany has become the economic and cultural center for the European Union.

If you prefer to explore the capital, we are glad to offer you one of our group tours. The Best of Berlin Tour is a comprehensive sightseeing tour in Berlin including the most famous sites such as: Charlottenburg Castle, The Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, "Unter den Linden" Boulevard, Museum Island, Victory Column , The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Bellevue Palace, Potsdamer Platz, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe (Holocaust Memorial), Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie

During your tour of Berlin you will experience its history, economy, and everyday life. We pay close attention to the period surrounding World War II, which became crucial for the city.

The Berlin and Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial Tour will not only give an insight into the city’s architecture and history but also demonstrate the horrors of war. During the history of the Third Reich this camp held over 200,000 people, of which tens of thousands were murdered. You will learn a lot of facts about victims, their tragic fate, see concentration camp conditions, and understand the reality of the Holocaust. It is a powerful and humbling experience...

For those who don’t want to spend time traveling to Berlin, we offer group excursions introducing you to smaller German cities located closer to the port.

Warnemunde, a former fishing village, is now a popular resort for Scandinavian citizens, with beautiful sand beaches and cute fairytale houses.

Rostock city has its own charm, especially when you get to the old city and New Market Square. Rostock includes one of the oldest universities in the world - Universität Rostock. The city is also famed for its own local beer, Rostocker Pilsner that inherited 750-year-old traditions of brewing.

For a medieval experience it’s suggested to visit the town of Schwerin. This is one of the oldest Northern German cities that has retained its original medieval outlook. The city is most known for Schwerin Castle located on a picturesque lake. The castle is now shared between the State Parliament and a museum that holds rooms & collections that once belonged to the Royal Family of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Also, we offer private tours of Germany, giving you freedom to include other places of interest upon your request, among them:

  • Potsdam

Helsinki

The capital of Finland is always on a list of places you should visit at least once in your life. Finland is a homeland for Santa Claus who lives in Laplandia, which also happens to be a great place for skiing or enjoying a hot sauna on the shores of a river or lake.

Finland has one of the largest archipelagos in the world consisting of about 70,000 islands. It is one of the most ecologically clean places in the world and is a habitat for many species of animals including brown bears and the Saimaa ringed seal.

Recently Finns were awarded the title of the “Happiest Nation in the World” and our tours will help you to uncover the secret of their happy lives. We offer a wide choice of group and private tours that will help you to discover Helsinki and its suburbs.

During the sightseeing tour, included in our programs below you will see Rock Church which is hewn into a giant piece of solid rock. Its' acoustics are deemed the best in Europe. Another famous site is the Sibelius monument devoted to a famous Finnish composer who created the most beloved Finnish Christmas songs.

You will also see the Olympic Stadium where the winter Olympic Games took place in 1952, and many world records were broken. You will also enjoy the modern seaside district of Helsinki with new residential areas replacing the old shipbuilding dockyards.

Summer is the best time to stop by Market Square and have a taste of fresh local food and find some amazing souvenirs. While enjoying your free time here you can try famous Finnish cream of salmon soup with rye bread.

The Best of Helsinki Tour also includes a walk through downtown where you can see the northern Jugend architecture and enjoy stone rusticated facades with lots of intricate details.

Seurasaari Island can be an interesting addition to the city tour showing you how Finns lived in wood houses in historical times. Finnish experts were brought from all over Finland to create this open air museum.

You can see all types of old wooden structures on this island – dwelling houses, barns, farms, windmills, horse stables, and saunas; some were built without a single nail! Yurts covered with deer leather stand out against wooden houses in the background.

If you want to experience a full day tour it’s recommended to combine our Helsinki Tour with one of the oldest Finnish towns - Porvoo. This town used to be a trade center, and its original wooden red houses along the coastal line became the main distinguishing fixture.

Here you can try delicious chocolate produced locally at Pieni Suklaatehdas and Brunberg’s Chocolate Factory. You can also see beautiful authentic souvenirs for home decoration, visit a 14th century Porvoo Cathedral, or just walk up and down the cobblestone streets to observe this charming old city.

Here are some other suggestions for a private tour:

  • Suomenlinna Fortress,
  • Helsinki Winter Wonderland with Ice bar entrance ,
  • Husky ride,

Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and one of the most visited cities in Scandinavia. A former Viking settlement, today Copenhagen is an important center of European art and culture, full of marvelous sights and attractions. Thanks to its location, the city serves as a link between Scandinavia and Central Europe; it is big enough to amuse visitors with rich culture and vivid nightlife, and also small enough to preserve its cozy intimate atmosphere.

We invite you to join a group tour around Copenhagen, during which you will get to see the amazing Amalienborg Castle, stroll along Stroget – one of the longest pedestrian streets in the world – and make a wish visiting the famous Little Mermaid statue at the Langelinie promenade. Little Mermaid is the icon of Copenhagen and the most photographed statue in Denmark.

In addition, you’ll visit Nyhavn, a former commercial port that is one of the most popular places in the city due to its colorful bright architecture and restaurants. The city can impress you with palaces and castles designed in different styles and at different times.

Rosenborg Castle is one of the former residences for Danish royals that still retains its unmatched opulence and is located in a beautiful park setting. The present residence of the Danish royal family is Amalienborg, where you can sometimes spot the queen waiving from her balcony. Another remarkable place that you will pass during your sightseeing tour is Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest operating amusement park in the world.

While the group tour has no inside visits included, our private options give you more flexibility to add sites or museum tours.

  • Christiansborg Palace or Rosenborg Castle can brighten your excursion with magnificent interiors, collections of tapestries, coronation chairs, royal paintings, unique furniture sets, and much more. In the Danish Crown Jewels collection in the vaults of Rosenborg castle you can see large jewellery sets with diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and pearls – all at the Queen’s disposal.
  • A visit to Tivoli Garden can bring a lot of fun to all generations. Here you can find not only original wooden roller coasters, but some very modern dynamic rides for young people. The garden also is a popular setting for musicals, ballet, and major concerts. Evening lights transform this beautiful garden into a fairy-tale place.
  • If you are looking for a day tour and want to spend it outside the busy capital, we can suggest visiting two castles. One of them is probably the most famous one in Denmark – Kronborg or Hamlet’s castle. It’s said that you can still feel Hamlet’s spirit roaming the rooms of Kronborg. After listening to old myths and stories about royals, you will be off to Hillerød town, home to Frederiksborg Castle. This castle is another jewel-box with precious art collections and renaissance interiors. It adjoins a romantic landscape garden that creates a special atmosphere with baroque parterres, geometrical bosquets and water cascading down to the lake.
  • Among other places worth visiting in Copenhagen are Torvehallerne food market, Great Synagogue of Copenhagen, Carlsberg Brewery, the National Aquarium, Roskilde Cathedral & Viking Ship Museum. For further details please contact us via email or look through the programs below.

Stockholm

Stockholm is an ancient city in Sweden built on 14 islands connected with each other by 57 bridges. Despite the fact that the city is spread across so many islands, Stockholm is quite compact and can be easily seen in a day. We offer group tours in Stockholm starting from downtown or Nynashamn port, depending on the docking site of your cruise ship. Please note that Nynashamn port is located 45 min away from downtown, thus making the group tour 1.5 hours longer.

The city tour will take you through the rich and diverse Stockholm including Old Town, the Royal Palace, City Hall, and Gröna Lund theme park. The city tour also includes the island of Djurgården where you will see the most visited museum in Stockholm – the Vasa Museum. It’s one the most well preserved old ships that was once built to become the most powerful warship in Sweden. It was salvaged in the 20th century and restored to its original appearance. Inside the museum you’ll hear its fascinating history and admire the beautiful colorful decorations and sculptures fore and aft.

Stockholm’s Old Town is located on Gamla Stan, one of the best preserved medieval cities in the world. The island will enchant you with golden bright buildings, narrow and winding cobblestone streets, and cozy small squares.

During your free time you can drop into a cozy cafe or restaurant to try cinnamon buns, toast Skagen, pickled herring, or Swedish meatballs (all favorites in Sweden).

While exploring Stockholm's Gamla Stan you will stumble across dozens of artifacts like frescoes from the Middle Ages or Rune Stone believed to date back to 1,000 years ago. Here you can find one of the oldest churches in Stockholm, the Nobel Museum, as well as the smallest monument in Stockholm. This is a great opportunity to relax and enjoy local handicrafts and souvenirs. The Royal Palace in the northern part of the island is the official residence for the King of Sweden and one of the largest residences in Europe, numbering over 600 rooms.

When it comes to private excursions Stockholm has a lot to offer:

  • The Abba Museum – an exhibition of stage outfits, awards, and musical instruments. However, it’s not all about clothes and articles that belonged to the famous Swedish band. This museum is very interactive too. Here you can sing, dance, mix music, and even try on some virtual outfits. At the end of the tour you will be given a link to download your performances.
  • You can also enjoy the Royal Canal Boat Tour (50 min) or Under the Bridges of Stockholm Boat Tour to see the most known attractions in the Swedish capital and also picturesque views opening from Djurgеrden canal.
  • City Hall is a famous venue where Nobel banquets take place annually after the official ceremony in the Concert Hall.
  • Visit the Ice Bar to get an arctic experience, see ice sculptures, and warm up with a cocktail.
  • The Thiel Gallery is a luxurious Art Nouveau Villa. Here you can see artworks of Swedish and Scandinavian painters, such as Carl Larsson, Edvard Munch, Rodin, Anders Zorn, Bruno Liljefors, etc.
  • Drottningholm Palace is a gorgeous baroque palace with magnificent gala rooms and a park with a Chinese Pavilion and a unique theater. Families with children will find lots of activities in Stockholm too. One of the most popular children museums is Junibacken. It’s a museum of fairy tales with Lilliputian houses, a magical train taking you on a journey through the most famous Astrid Lindgren’s books, theatre and exhibitions. Skansen is a great place to see old houses of the 18th to 20th centuries belonging to different social classes, visit a children’s Zoo, or the Skansen Aquarium.

Klaipeda

Klaipeda is a large non-freezing cruise port on the shore of the Curonian bay, and one of the ancient towns in Lithuania, founded in 1252. Despite Klaipeda's tortuous history, full of wars, bloodshed and violence, many architectural monuments constructed between the 13-19th centuries have survived to the present days. Nowadays Klaipeda is the third largest city and the only cargo and passenger port in Lithuania. The Danė river crosses the city dividing it into two parts. It’s the Old Town facing the Baltic Sea with old fortifications that used to defend the city, and the New Town to the north of the Dane River, that creates a new image of modern Klaipeda with beautiful hotels and restaurants. The Old Town is the cultural center of the city with universities, museums, cultural centers, libraries, concert halls, etc. and a great place to walk around.

During our group tour, you will be able to visit the Curonian Spit. The northern cape of the Curonian Spit is located right opposite to the port of Klaipeda. A ferry will bring you to the spot in 10 minutes. The Curonian Spit is famous for its preserve which is a part of the World Nature Heritage. The most fascinating natural wonder on the Spit are sand-dunes that are up to 1 km in width. Moreover, this is a habitat for many birds including the biggest colony of black cormorants and herons. Nowadays, no doubt, this place is a symbol of Lithuania. The tour will end right in the heart of the city at the Teatro square where you can get some tips and directions from your guide whether you want to wander off on the old cozy streets or drop in a nice café for a cup of coffee.

Our private tours include more options depending on your interests and time.

The 3-hour walking tour is a perfect way of exploring downtown and have some time on your own. You will be able to walk along the streets of the Old Town which lies on the left bank of the Dane River. There you will see pretty houses of burghers and merchants built of stone, with stacked framework and little bronze sculptures: a big-eared little mouse, a cat, a Doberman and a chimney sweeper sitting on the roof of the house on Kurly Street. Rub their nose, button or ear to get some extra luck! Another highlight of the walking tour is a visit to the "Amber Queen" museum displaying a great collection and varieties of amber differing in sizes and colors, including antique amber, stones with inclusions and unusual objects of art.

If you want to learn more about amber and see the marvelous Botanical garden, we can suggest a 6-hour tour that combines Klaipeda sightseeing with Palanga. Palanga is a northern resort with a lively central street offering all kinds of souvenirs and eateries. The coastal line is a great place to stroll and look for amber pieces often thrown out by the Baltic Sea.
