You will discover the Norwegian capitals best sights both on foot and by bus as well as the amazingly imaginative Vigeland Sculpture Park. Our introduction to Oslo starts with an enjoyable guided drive around the city center highlights on a sightseeing tour by bus. Departing from the harbor along the scenic seaside, you will get an overview of this old land of the Vikings complete with time for photo stops. We will see such historic sites as the Parliament, National Theatre, Royal Residence, City Hall and the new modern Opera House along the way. The celebrated Karl Johans Gate is also found a stone throw away on the main pedestrian street of the city, famously named after Norwegian king Karl III Johan. We will also reserve some free time or a coffee break with a spot of shopping in order to take in the local atmosphere.
Thereafter we will arrive at the impressive Vigeland Sculpture Park for a walk the imaginative world of Gustav Vigeland and more than 200 of his creations of human figures in bronze, iron and stone.
Leaving the inspiring park of expressive statues behind, we will now experience something entirely different. The Viking Ship Museum is a surprising collection of magnificent well-preserved burial ships from the times of these ancient Nordic rulers. The delicate craftsmanship and astounding findings of the three ships exhibited make it a unique visit and a must-see when in this part of the world.
This is a perfect half-day tour covering the best Oslo has to offer. Our day ends with a return transfer to the cruise harbor, where you can board your ship in comfort.
