Faberge Museum – New Must-See in St Petersburg
We are happy to inform you that the Faberge Museum is now added to our two and three day group tours in St Petersburg Russia.
The Faberge Museum was opened in the Shuvalovsky Palace, which was specially restored to house one of the largest collection of Faberge works in the world. The large amount of exhibits used to belong to media magnate Malcolm Forbes, who collected artworks of Faberge over 50 years. The first 200 items were acquired by Viktor Vekselberg in 2004 and the total sum of the purchase is unknown... Now the unique collection numbers over 4000 exhibits, including 14 world famous Easter eggs that belong to the royal family and the wealthiest families who lived in St Petersburg before the Revolution of 1917. The collection of Faberge works is being constantly refilled.
