Oslo Walking Tour & Munch´s masterpieces
40/36 USD pp
This walking tour is a great opportunity to explore the Norwegian capital — take a stroll along the city, enjoying its remarkable historic architecture and vast public spaces.Oslo was already a large settlement in the Viking Age, and today it’s a modern, thoughtfully designed city that can be easily explored on foot.
During this program...
During the tour you will see the most important city sites, such as the Norwegian Parliament building, the main Oslo street — Karl Johans Gate. At the end of Karl Johans Gate you will see the Royal Palace surrounded by gardens and lakes. While you're there, take a moment to admire a beautiful view over the city center of Oslo! The lively harbor area, close to the National Theatre and the medieval Akershus Fortress, create a unique connection between the past and the present and makes the architecture of one of the oldest European capitals amazingly diverse. Your tour will continue with a short inside visit of the City Hall (not guaranteed due to tour time constraints).
The tour will end with an inside visit of the Munch’s Museum that has the largest collection of paintings by Edvard Munch and his most recognizable masterpiece — the Scream. After the tour you may stay inside the museum, and your guide will give you some directions and ideas on how to continue exploring the city on your own. Your cruise ship will be in walking distance of the city center (approximately 10-20 min on foot).
If you prefer to explore the city at a more relaxed pace and add the Opera & Ballet rooftop visit, we can extend the tour by one hour at an extra cost.
Order of guided visits and sights is subject to change according to availability.
