Helsinki Walking Tour
43 USD pp
During this one day program...
You will be given an introduction tour to the history of Helsinki. Allow yourself a couple of hours of complete indulgence of the best Helsinki has to offer.
After a public transportation ride to feel like a local on tram/bus to the city center, we will start our stroll through Helsinki. Our walking tour will take you to the highlights of a Nordic city famed for its design and architecture. As a special treat, the Rock Church is part of our stops along the way. A thrilling work of modern architecture is a must see when visiting. A local pride, built entirely underground.
During the walk, you can admire the relaxed feeling of beautiful Esplanade Boulevard, Central Railway Station, and the largest Orthodox Church in Scandinavia – the Uspenski Cathedral.
Presidential Palace, National Opera, Kiasma modern Art Museum and many other interesting historical sites located in the center follow thereafter. Senate Square with the monument to the Russian tsar Alexander II is one of the most historic and beautiful squares designed in the early 1800s Helsinki. We will then enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Market Square surrounded by inviting cafés and shops.
Once the tour is over, your guide will leave you to enjoy the wonderful Market Square in the city center. You can return to your ship by taxi, public transport or shuttle bus service.
Please note that the inside visit to the Rock Church can not be guaranteed in the event of religious services.
*Please, note that tour schedule will be adjusted based on the arrival time of your ship.
